LAHORE: Police have arrested 79 accused in 71 cases of kite
flying in the whole city.
According to police sources, 500
kites, 50 c
harkhian, 50 pinidor and 60 guchidor we
re recovered.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif imposed
a complete ban on the Basant festival due to deaths caused by sharply polished threads used to fly
kites.
But, despite the ban on kite
flying, some people still manufactured and flew
kites, disobeying the law
