QUETTA: The much
feared
disease that is cancer seems to be affecting a lot of men in Khyber Paktunkhwa as new cases of throat, lungs and tongue ca
ncer are being reported every day.
A senior doctor from KP has said that cancer patients from the above mentioned categories make upto 80 % of the
province’s total cancer patient count.
The ever increasing
disease is being blamed on the pollution present in the atmosphere of KP and the people’s constant use of pan, and lack of healthy diet are said to be responsible for all this.
Another doc
tor has said that pollution from rubber and tyre burning has contributed to most of the lung cancer cases in the
province.
