Islami(JI) Chairman SirajulHaq condemned the Students Unions ban, continuing since 1984, and said that this had done irreparable harm to the gro
wth of political culture in the country.
He said that if government employees and semi-government departments had the right to form unions and associations, there was no reason to deny the same to the students at college and university level.
He called for the revival of the students union
s to strengthen democracy in the country.
